Rihanna And Chris Brown Split?

Rihanna

Rihanna has reportedly left Chris Brown. Well, for now, at least.

E! Online reported that the two singers were "taking a break" on Monday, while Rihanna spends some time in New York, and Brown works on his album on the opposite coast in Los Angeles. They were not said to have split up and were apparently planning to see each other again soon.

But that might not be the case, because according to NBC News Chicago, Rihanna has dumped Brown after he refused to fire manager Tina Davis, whom he's rumoured to have had a past sexual relationship with.

Davis has denied this, and also denies sending a text message to Brown on Feb. 8, which led to an alleged altercation between Brown and Rihanna that's said to have left Rihanna bruised and battered and resulted in Brown being charged with assault by means likely to create bodily injury and making criminal threats.

Brown wouldn't fire Davis, NBC News Chicago reports, so Rihanna reportedly told him to choose between her or Davis.

"She's unhappy, and she has been for some time unhappy with the relationship that Chris Brown has with Tina Davis," Mediatakeout's Fred Mwangaguhunga told the Access Hollywood television program, according to NBC News Chicago. "It's not exactly clear whether or not it is a sexual relationship, but Rihanna has come out and given Chris Brown the ultimatum."

As for that reported "duet" Brown and Rihanna were said to have recorded, it's real but its origins are b.c.b. (before Chris beating).

The publicist for producer Polow Da Don, who was said to have recorded the rumoured track, told People.com that Rihanna and Brown recorded a duet, but did it prior to Brown's alleged attack. While they've apparently recorded two unreleased songs together, the publicist told People.com "nothing has been recorded by Chris and Rihanna together since February."

We still hope someone has the infinite wisdom not to release any of that.
