Vancouver singer-songwriter Jeremy Fisher has created a new animated web series called "For Real."
He launched the series to keep his fans up-to-date while he writes his fourth album.
"I'm probably going to give you updates on what's happening in the studio and maybe what it was like to be on the road, or in the studio — that's really all I do, so it's going to be one of those two things, or both," Fisher said in the series' pilot. "Hopefully it will be interesting to you."
The first two episodes are already online and feature special guest appearances from Van Halen's David Lee Roth and actor Colin Farrell (In Bruges, Miami Vice).
"Working within the genre known as the Anime-Autobiopic, in this body of work I will document my entire life as historical fiction and immortalize the person I think I am and thought I was," wrote Fisher on his series' Facebook group page.
"For your enjoyment I have drawn myself to be better-looking than as I appear in real life."
Fisher re-released his debut album, Back Porch Spirituals, in January.
