Bob Dylan's Toilet Causes A Stink

Bob Dylan

Some people say Bob Dylan's music stinks, but his neighbours say the stench from a porta-potty on Bob Dylan's compound in Malibu, Calif. has been blowin' in the wind and making them sick.

Dylan put the portable toilet on his property so his guards could use it, but his neighbours have complained to Malibu officials about the stench, according to the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

"It's a scandal — 'Mr. Civil Rights' is killing our civil rights," neighbour David Emminger, who lives behind the toilet, told the newspaper.

Emminger thinks the whole thing stinks (or is an idiot wind?) and has reportedly installed five industrial-size fans on his front lawn so he can try and redirect the stench at Dylan. The family have reportedly stopped sleeping upstairs because of the smell, which apparently gets gets worse when a hard rain falls.

"It's worse when it's misty outside at night," Emminger's wife, Cindy Emminger, told the Los Angeles Times. "We turn on the five fans, but it still gets inside our house."

The Emmzinger family also also described Dylan's toilet as "toxic, hazardous" and "carcinogenic," according to KTLA News.

Malibu city officials are reportedly investigating the issue.

Dylan will release a new album, Together Through Life, on April 28 through Columbia. Dylan's described the album as "romantic," which probably means he wrote it nowhere near the outhouse.

Together Through Life
was recorded last year by Jack Frost, who is really Dylan. The musician says he tried to make it sound like something released by Chess Records. He also says it was inspired by My Own Love Song, an upcoming film starring Renee Zellweger (Chicago, Bridget Jones' Diary), Forest Whitaker (The Last King Of Scotland) and Nick Nolte (Hotel Rwanda). No track list has been released for it yet.

Let's hope it doesn't stink.
