Dears And Black Diamond Bay Tour Together

Dears guitarist Patrick Krief and drummer George Donoso left their former group in 2008 to concentrate full-time on their more hard rocking outfit, now called Black Diamond Bay.

Back then, there was some concern about the future of The Dears and whether there was much animosity between Dears frontman Murray Lightburn and his departed bandmates (listen to "Money Babies" on The Dears' new album, Missiles).

No worries, though, as Missiles proved Lightburn's reconstituted group are as strong as ever. In a reunion of sorts, Black Diamond Bay will open for The Dears on a western Canadian swing. Jets Overhead are also on the bill.

Black Diamond Bay's debut album Calm Awaits hits stores March 31.
