Broken Social Scene Book Coming

This Book Is Broken, a biography about Toronto indie rock collective Broken Social Scene, will hit stores on May 16 through House Of Anansi Press.
The biography was written by music journalist, Eye Weekly editor and Two Koreas singer Stuart Berman. It contains a forward from Broken Social Scene's Brendan Canning and Kevin Drew.
This Book Is Broken tracks the band's history from their formation, their performances at Ted's Wrecking Yard, Arts & Crafts records and their continually changing lineup. The book was compiled from interviews with members and affiliates of Broken Social Scene and contains 150 pieces of artwork, posters and photos.
You can pre-order This Book Is Broken through Arts & Crafts' website. A limited edition of the book with a Arts & Crafts bookbag can be purchased for $60, while one without the bookbag will run you $50. When This Book Is Broken hits stores, you'll also be able to buy the trade paperback edition with a bookbag for $35, while the book itself will cost you $24.95.
