Hedley won three Canadian Radio Music Awards on Friday afternoon at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York hotel as part of Canadian Music Week.
Nominees LIGHTS, Age Of Daze, Crash Parallel and Jaydee Bixby performed at the luncheon ceremony, as did host Sass Jordan. April Wine received the lifetime achievement award to commemorate their induction into the Canadian Music Industry Hall Of Fame.
The nominees in the format categories were artists who hit Canadian radio charts for the first time and achieved top airplay in different formats in 2008. The winners were determined through votes cast by radio station music directors, program directors and on-air personalities.
There were also two non-voted categories. Hedley's "For The Nights I Can't Remember" won the Chart Topper Award for receiving the most overall airplay, while Justin Hines was named the FACTOR Breakthrough Artist Of The Year for most airplay for a new FACTOR-supported artist.
