British band Echo & The Bunnymen performed their 1984 landmark album Ocean Rain in its entirety with an orchestra in Liverpool, England last November. Now the group will release a live album celebrating the concert "on or before" May 1.
Echo & The Bunnymen: Ocean Rain Live Liverpool Echo Arena 27/11/08 will only be available through the band’s website. The deluxe edition will include a DVD featuring behind-the-scenes footage, voice-over options from singer Ian McCulloch and guitarist Will Sergeant, and an eight-page booklet with photos.
All copies will be autographed by McCulloch and Sergeant, and the first 1,000 ordered will be inscribed with the name of the purchaser's choice. Ocean Rain Live can be pre-ordered here.
Echo & The Bunnymen are slated to release The Fountain, the follow-up to 2005's Siberia, later this year.
The band will be hopping... like Bunnymen with a series of performances at next week’s South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. You can see them here:
