A Killers show that was set to take place in Amsterdam last night (Thursday) was postponed because of a terrorist threat in the city.

Police received an anonymous tip on Wednesday night from an unregistered number in Brussels, Belgium that an Ikea store in a popular shopping area was the target, according to Pollstar.com. The authorities shut down a movie theatre and the Killers concert, which has been rescheduled to May 29.

"It wasn't a regular bomb warning, but a warning of a planned action aimed at creating casualties in shops," Amsterdam mayor Job Cohen said in a Pollstar.com article.

Amsterdam police told the Associated Press that six men and women had been arrested and were being questioned in connection with the threats, but hadn't been charged. The news service reports one of the detained is related to a person who was involved in a bombing in Madrid, Spain.

The Killers are touring in support of last year's Day & Age. You can see them here (unless there are more terrorist threats):

There are at least five obvious punchlines for this story.
