Reznor: Cornell Embarrassed Himself

Trent Reznor says Chris Cornell has embarrassed himself and has embarrassed the Nine Inch Nails frontman in the process.

Reznor posted about Cornell's recently released solo album, Scream, on his Twitter yesterday (Wednesday), and he didn't have very nice things to say.

"You know that feeling you get when somebody embarrasses themselves so badly YOU feel uncomfortable?" he wrote. "Heard Chris Cornell's record? Jesus."

In case you haven't heard, Cornell's Scream is a massive departure from his work with Soundgarden and Audioslave. That's mainly because Timbaland produced it, and it features dance beats and samples gallore. Yes, seriously.

Cornell also uses Twitter, but hasn't said anything in response yet. It's probably worth noting he Tweeted that he'd "pushed for another day for $2.99 per album download on Amazon so check it!" yesterday.

Reznor will head out on the road with Jane's Addiction this summer. Funny enough, Street Sweeper, the new project from Cornell's former Audioslave bandmate Tom Morello, have just been tapped to open the dates.

"We are aiming to make this much more than just three acts sharing a bill...," he wrote on the NIN website.

Reznor also Tweeted about the NINJA 2009 website that will launch on March 20.
