Joaquin Phoenix's bizarre behaviour since he became a rapper continued on Wednesday night at his performance in Miami.
The nightclub at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel was packed with curious people who waited for hours before Phoenix finally took the stage at 2 a.m. He apparently mumbled over backing tracks and a heckler let him have it.
"We have a bitch in the audience," Phoenix shot back. "I've got $1 million in the bank, what have you got?"
Phoenix then jumped off the stage to go after his nemesis. Security guards restrained the shaggy 34-year-old and escorted him away, ending his abbreviated performance.
Phoenix's brother-in-law, actor Casey Affleck, captured the incident on film for a documentary he claims to be making. Affleck's omnipresence has led to speculation that he and Phoenix are conjuring some sort of Borat meets Spinal Tap spoof and Phoenix's conversion from Academy Award-nominated actor to rapper is all a hoax. But Phoenix continues to claim his new occupation is legitimate.
