Ryan Adams Marries Mandy Moore

Ryan Adams and actress/singer Mandy Moore got married at a quiet ceremony in Savannah, Ga. on Tuesday.

Adams and Moore started dating last March and briefly split up in the summer after Adams couldn't handle all the attention the couple were getting from the press. They later reunited and got engaged last month.

"Hopefully, [the wedding] can happen and slip by unnoticed by everybody," Moore told US Weekly magazine earlier this year. "I guess we have to be sort of sneaky about it, but I'll see what I can accomplish."

Winona Ryder, Parker Posey and Juliana Hatfield are among Adams' ex-girlfriends.

Adams recently announced he's splitting up his band, The Cardinals, and will play his last show with them on March 20 in Atlanta. Adams has been suffering from Meniere's Disease, an inner ear disorder that results in progressive hearing loss.

It was recently rumoured that the 34-year-old alt.country musician was retiring from music after he posted a typically cryptic message on his blog, but he says that's not the case.

"There are other musical things that I can do where I don't have to be a person of speculation," he told the Faster Louder website. "There are other ways to make music where it doesn't hurt my ears so bad because I am so deaf."

There are also rumours circulating that Adams is working in the follow-up to last year's Cardinology, which is tentatively titled Dear Impossible.

Adams will publish a collection of poetry and short stories in his first book, Infinity Blues, on April 1. He'll release another volume of poetry and fiction titled Hello Sunshine this fall.

"This is the book of verse where I wake up, where I see myself responding to a world with as much light and as much grace as whatever disappointment I felt," he says. "This is where I fell back in love with everything — this is my best work yet."

Moore will release a new album titled Amanda Leigh on May 26.
