Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew, Brendan Canning, Justin Peroff and Andrew Whiteman will play wedding singers in the film adaptation of The Time Traveler's Wife, according to the Playlist blog.
The movie, which stars Eric Bana (Munich, Hulk) and Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Mean Girls) and is directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan), features the four Broken Social Scene members playing one of their own songs before segueing into Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart." Suck on that, Adam Sandler.
The film was shot in Toronto in 2007 and is due to be released next February, according to IMDB.com.
The Time Traveler's Wife is based on the 2003 Audrey Niffenegger novel of the same name about the complicated relationship between a time-travelling librarian and his wife.

Hey Kate,
Glad you noticed our work, fantastic. But as a fellow Canadian, I would love it if you guys actually gave us a link. All our hard work on the modest mouse story we did seems to have gone uncredited too even though places like Pitchfork conceded that we "broke" this story.
