Danko Jones Hits Record Is Coming

You can't say Danko Jones has had a lot of genuine hits. But the singer/guitarist and the band who bear his name have built a dedicated enough following that Aquarius Records can release a 15-song best-of titled This Is Danko Jones on April 7.

Danko Jones formed in Toronto in 1996 with bassist John Calabrese and a revolving cast of drummers until Dan Cornelius joined the band three years ago. The compilation features material from the heavy rocking group's I'm Alive And On Fire independent debut, their two Universal Music Canada albums (Born A Lion and We Sweat Blood) and their two Aquarius LPs (Sleep Is The Enemy and Never Too Loud).

Aquarius is also offering a limited number of import copies of the 27-song B-Sides, which was released in Europe by Bad Taste Records on Feb. 2.

A video for Never Too Loud track "King Of Magazines" was released in December, and a clip for "Sugar High" has been completed.
