Our Lady Peace will play a show on Thursday night at Toronto's Rivoli as part of Canadian Music Week.

The band announced on their Twitter today (Wednesday) that they'd appear at the Thursday night showcase. They first mentioned they'd play CMW on March 5, but didn't reveal the date or location. Some people must have had inside information, however, because the official CMW schedule already said Thursday at The Rivoli was sold-out before OLP tweeted. The sold-out banner has since been removed from the CMW website.

The Thursday night showcase at The Rivoli also features sets from Incura, Afternoon Zero, Cure Gravity, Hail The Villain and Inward Eye. OLP are presumably playing at midnight, since that slot lists a "special guest" on the CMW schedule.

Our Lady Peace have also been working on new material, which you may be able to hear at Thursday's gig. They revealed they were in the studio the same day they launched their Twitter page. They've since finished recording.

"The Swiss Chalet has been crushed," the band wrote in a cryptic Twitter entry on Saturday. "Burn Burn is Burned.

"We are rehearsing for our CMW show. The ball has been nudged. Roll good you bastard."

The group cleared things up a bit the next day with this:

"Burned means recorded. Crushed means eaten. We are playing CMW in a few days time."

Our Lady Peace have reportedly recorded 16 or 17 songs that could be included on Burn Burn, which is the album's title, according to the Clumsymonkey.net OLP fansite. They've apparently been working on the album since February 2007, according to Melodic.net, which places its genesis before the release of Raine Maida's The Hunter's Lullaby debut solo album.

Our Lady Peace's last album was 2005's Healthy In Paranoid Times. They released their A Decade compilation album the next year and went on hiatus thereafter.
