New Death Cab EP Coming

Death Cab For Cutie have plans to release a new five-track EP, The Open Door.
There's no set release date yet, but bassist Nick Harmer told MTV News that The Open Door will be out sometime this year. It will feature four songs that didn't make it onto last year's Narrow Stairs and an alternate version of Narrow Stairs' "Talking Bird," which features singer/guitarist Ben Gibbard on the ukelele.
"When we finished Narrow Stairs, there were four extra songs that, because we were trying to put together an album, we ended up not including them.
"It's not like they're castoffs or anything; they're part of the Narrow Stairs experience," Harmer said. "They needed to have a proper home, and the EP is it."
Death Cab also recently released a video for Narrow Stairs' "Grapevine Fires." You can see the animated clip below:
