Toronto-via-Halifax indie rockers The Darcys have covered Final Fantasy's "The CN Tower Belongs To The Dead."
The band have been playing the track live and have now put their violin-less, bouncy, rock 'n' roll cover to tape for the first time. It was recorded in January with producer Matt Durante, who also oversaw The Darcys' Endless Water debut album. It will be available as a free download on the group's website on March 26.
Singer/guitarist Kirby Best, guitarist Jason Couse, drummer Wes Marskell, bassist Dave Hurlow and multi-instrumentalist Mike La Riche are working on a seven-inch single that should be out in September and they hope to have their second LP out by the end of the year.
