Coolio Arrested For Crack Possession

Coolio was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport and charged with drug possession on Friday.
The rapper born Artis Levon Ivey, Jr. was detained after security allegedly found drugs on him as he was preparing to board a Southwest Airlines flight to Tulsa, Okla., where he was supposed to perform. Police haven't specified what type of drugs Coolio is said to have had, but TMZ.com reports a screener allegedly found crack cocaine. Coolio then "got 'physical' with the screener."
The 45-year-old rapper has been released on $10,000 bail.
Britain's Daily Star tabloid reported that Coolio, who became famous in the mid-'90s with his "Gangsta's Paradise" hit, fell on to the floor when he tried to crowd surf at a show at England's University Of Staffordshire last month and was promptly robbed of jewelry and shoes.
"He nearly flattened one poor girl," bartender James Fielden told the tabloid. "Then all the students decided to launch on him.
"They grabbed whatever they could, including his trainers, watch, chains and glasses. He was pulled back on stage by the bouncers. They got his shoes back for him."
Coolio was also apparently bottled at a gig in Barnsley, England in January. Maybe he should stick to cooking.
