Kanye And Clarkson On American Idol

Kanye West and inaugural champion Kelly Clarkson will perform on American Idol's elimination show on Wednesday evening.
West will sing 808s & Heartbreak's "Heartless" (since "singing" is the rapper's thing nowadays), while Clarkson will perform All I Ever Wanted's "My Life Would Suck Without You," which recently sat at the top of the U.S. singles chart.
Clarkson last appeared on American Idol in 2007, just before the release of My December. Some controversy followed that appearance when Idol failed to mention the album's release.
Clarkson later said her label had tried to pressure her to sing "Never Again" at the Idol Gives Back charity event that same year. She refused and said it would be inappropriate since she felt she'd be capitalizing on Africa's HIV/AIDS crisis.
There are apparently 13 Idol wannabes left in the running to follow in Clarkson's footsteps. Maybe you know who they are.
