Amy Winehouse Charged With Assault

Amy Winehouse has been charged with assault after an incident in which she allegedly punched a woman at a charity event last year.
Winehouse was questioned and charged with assault in regards to the incident after she turned herself in at a London, England police station on Thursday. She's due in court on March 17.
Winehouse is said to have punched dancer Sherene Flash in the face after Flash asked the singer if she could take a picture with her at the End Of Summer Ball in London's Berkley Square on Sept. 26. The Daily Mail tabloid reports that Winehouse had agreed to it, but, when Flash asked if her friend could also be in the picture, Winehouse punched her in the eye and ran away yelling "Life can't go on. I can't do this anymore."
Winehouse was cautioned by police last year after she admitted to assaulting a man at a London, England pub. While she wasn't charged in that incident, she was told the caution would be left on her record and could be used against her if she committed a similar offence in the future. It's not known whether it will come up here.
The Back To Black singer returned to the U.K. this week after taking a two-month holiday in St. Lucia. Winehouse reportedly "went wild" on her flight home because a fellow passenger kept staring at her strangely, according to the U.K.'s The Sun tabloid.
The Sun also reported that Winehouse was trying to win back jailed but recently freed husband Blake Fielder-Civil with Frank Sinatra songs, even though he reportedly wants a divorce for her alleged infidelity. Rumours are also flying about Fielder-Civil's supposed latest girlfriend, a 16-year-old schoolgirl named Francesca Morralee who's said to be moving in with him.
The Daily Mail also reports Winehouse, who has moved out of her house in London's Camden borough to an apartment in the city's north end, "appeared to be back to her shambolic self" when she went out in London on Thursday night.
The singer could apparently "barely speak" at a show and "smashed drinks on the floor." The tabloid also claims Winehouse asked Claire Merry, the ex-girlfriend of French soccer player Thierry Henry, if she could have her "Love Music, Hate Racism" shirt.
That's kind of ironic, don't you think?
