Feist Sings With Wilco On Album

Feist travelled to Chicago last week to record a new song called "You And I" for Wilco's still-untitled forthcoming album.

Feist was at the band's The Loft studio on Feb. 26 to lay down vocals for the Wilco-penned track, an inside source told RollingStone.com's Smoking Section blog, which had this to say about the collaboration:

"Feist and the dudes in Wilco met at the Grammys last year, and she hit it off with everyone. She's a Wilco fan, and the guys love her music, so they've kept in touch over the past year.

"Mr. Tweedy is a huge fan of duets, and wanted to work a duet into the new album. Feist was their first call.

"Everyone who's heard the song has been 'blown away.'"

Feist has been lying relatively low of late after a couple of very busy years following the release of The Reminder. After cleanig up at last year's Juno Awards, she's nominated in the fan choice category this year.

Wilco are set for a big spring that includes a tour and a new DVD, book and the aforementioned follow-up to 2007's Sky Blue Sky, which is apparently in the mixing stage. You can watch the trailer for the Ashes Of American Flags DVD on Wilco's website.
