Mute Reissuing Nick Cave Albums

Mute Records will reissue all 14 of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' albums, starting with the first four on April 7.

The band's 1984 From Her To Eternity debut, 1985's The Firstborn Is Dead and 1986's Kicking Against The Pricks and Your Funeral... My Trial will be the first to get the reissue treatment, including digital remastering and remixing in 5.1 surround sound. Each reissue will also include B-sides and an installment of a short film series from Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard called Do You Love Me Like I Love You?

Although Cave's longtime musical collaborator Mick Harvey left The Bad Seeds in January, he plans to work on the reissues for the next year.

The band announced in a recent MySpace blog post that guitarist Ed Kuepper, formerly of The Saints and Laughing Clowns, will take Harvey's place for their string of summer festival appearances.
