Neil Young will release Fork In The Road on April 7 via Reprise Records.

The 10-track album was recorded with Young's touring band, who include vocalist/guitarist Anthony Crawford, pedal steel player/keyboardist Ben Keith, bassist Rick Rosas, drummer Chad Cromwell and Young's singing wife, Pegi.

You can pre-order the album here.

Fork In The Road is about Young's LincVolt electric car project. He's in the midst of transforming his 1959 Lincoln into an electric car with the help of "motorhead messiah" Jonathan Goodwin.

Young saw a clip from MTV's Pimp My Ride of Goodwin turning Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1965 Chevy Impala into a bio-diesel-operated car and opted to make his own vehicle more environmentally friendly. After exchanging emails with Goodwin, Young and producer Larry Johnson drove the Lincoln from California to Goodwin's garage in Wichita, Kan. They filmed the road trip for a documentary that's tentatively titled Linc-Volt.

There's no word on a release date for the film, or the long-awaited The Archives Vol. 1 1963-1972 box set for that matter.

You can track the LincVolt team's progress here.

Young will play a 10-date Canadian tour with Everest and will perform at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 3.

Here's what's on Fork In The Road:

"When Worlds Collide"
"Fuel Line"
"Just Singing A Song"
"Johnny Magic"
"Cough Up The Bucks"
"Get Behind The Wheel"
"Off The Road"
"Hit The Road"
