Pete Wentz Fears Murder

Pete Wentz is sure someone is going to murder him one day.
The Fall Out Boy bassist recently told the U.K.'s Daily Mail tabloid that he doesn't answer his front door because he thinks someone is going to kill him.
"I used to think that some day I'd end up murdering a close friend or relative," he said. "Now, it's reversed and I'm convinced it's going to happen to me.
"That's the way I'm going out, I'm completely sure of it. So I refuse to answer the front door – it greatly minimizes that risk."
When John Lennon was once asked how he thought he'd die, he said, "I'll probably be popped off by some loony." Lest we forget, Lennon was murdered on the street in front of his home, not while answering the door.
Oh my God. Did I just compare Wentz and Lennon?
Wentz also told the tabloid if he didn't have a baby, he'd have a pet chimpanzee.
"In 2007, my band did a video for the single 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs' with chimpanzees playing the parts of the director and make-up artists. They were amazing to interact with. There was this one chimp that kept putting his arm around me like he was trying to tell me, 'I want to be your buddy.'
"I felt completely safe around them. Only later did the trainer tell me that he'd had his thumb bitten off by a chimp. Even so, I'd work with them again like a shot. They're great company. I just hope I never get into a fight with one. Those guys are a lot stronger than me."
We wonder how little Bronx Mowgli Wentz will feel in about 10 years when he hears that his dad would have easily made do with a chimpanzee instead.
Maybe Wentz might reverse his views on chimpanzees after talking to Charla Nash, a 55-year-old woman from Connecticut who was recently mauled by a pet chimpanzee named Travis that escaped his owner's home. Travis apparently posed so much risk to the woman and police who tried to subdue it that police had to shoot him to death.
