Chromeo recently appeared on the Yo Gabba Gabba! children's television show and performed an educational song about the importance of washing your hands.
Dave 1 (real name Dave Macklovitch) begins the song by declaring he's a "VCB," or very clean boy, before he and P-Thugg (real name Patrick Gemayel) end up in a sink, Honey, I Shrunk The Kids style, and Dave 1 chides P-Thugg for not washing his hands. After P-Thugg does as he's told, the two end up floating on giant sponges with bubbles floating past their heads.
It's probably worth noting that Gemayel, who's seen here with a vocoder stuck in his gums, should have watched that "Don't You Put It In Your Mouth" PSA as a child. Aren't kids going to think he's chewing on a garden hose?
Chromeo recently helped redesign the Playboy rabbit logo for its Rock The Rabbit March issue. MGMT, Jay Reatard, Q-Tip, Royksopp, Yelle, The Kooks and Diplo were also involved. You can buy T-shirts featuring the artists' designs at playboystore.com and shopthebunny.com. A portion of the sales will go to charity.
Dave 1 will play a DJ set with Diplo at Liv in Miami, Fla., while he and P-Thugg will play a DJ set at the Sasquatch! Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Wash. on May 25.
i was watching Yo Gabba Gabba with my 9 month old a couple of weeks ago, and The Shins did a song. Freaked me out a little. Does anyone else get the feeling that to come up with children's shows they just stick a bunch of people in a room to drop acid for like, 5 hours and whatever they come up with premieres on Treehouse the next week?
