Oasis Keen To Record New Album

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher wants the band to start working on a new album after they finish their world tour.

Gallagher said the band have half an album's worth of material ready to go for the follow-up to last year's Dig Out Your Soul soon.

"I reckon we'd get half of it done [if the band went into the studio now]," Gallagher told Portuguese television show Top+. "Personally, after the tour, I think we should have a couple months off — not too long, maybe six months. Then I think we should go back in the studio, make another album."

Singer/guitarist Noel Gallagher won an NME Shockwaves Award on Wednesday night for his Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere blog, even though he claims he's never used a computer and posts all of his entries through text messages.

"Well, well, well — so these little text messages have now become 'award-winning,' eh?" he wrote in a MySpace blog entry today (Friday). "Oh, the irony!

"Irie Nancy finds the whole thing rather amusing, considering that i've yet to go within 10 feet of a computer let alone own one of the blasted things."

Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere no longer exists in its original form because the host of Oasis' website stopped trading last week. Gallagher has been blogging on the band's MySpace page instead.

Noel Gallagher also recently added Lady GaGa, Kings Of Leon, Leona Lewis and The Killers to his hate list.

"Spent the day in bed yesterday nursing a bad head," Gallagher wrote in a MySpace blog entry on Tuesday. "For some reason I watched MTV's European Top 10. Fuck me, it was painful.

"Leona Lewis doing Snow Patrol? Ouch! Kings Of Leon doing U2? Ouch! The Killers doing fancy dress? Ouch! Lady Gaga? (I may be showing my age here but who's Lady Gaga?). It made my teeth hurt! MY TEETH!!"

We hope Gallagher's dental hygiene is in good order because he'll have to use his mouth to sing at these dates:
