Muse reigned supreme with three wins at Wednesday night's NME Shockwaves Awards in London, England, while Oasis, MGMT and the Jonas Brothers took home two trophies apiece.

Muse won awards for best live band and album artwork for last year's HAARP live CD/DVD, while frontman Matthew Bellamy was voted sexiest male.

Oasis were voted best British band and singer/guitarist Noel Gallagher's Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere (which no longer exists, since the host of Oasis' website stopped trading last week) was declared best band blog.

MGMT was named best new band and "Time To Pretend" was voted best track.

Brits proved once again that they have better taste than Americans, as the Jonas Brothers were declared the worst band and their A Little Bit Longer was voted worst album. That should be a bit of relief for those who thought it was sacrilege for the brothers to perform "Superstition" with Stevie Wonder at this year's Grammy Awards.

The show featured performances by Franz Ferdinand, LaRoux, Elbow, Friendly Fires and Blur's Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon, who played a stripped-down version of Parklife's "This Is A Low" as a preview of the band's reunion shows.

The Cure, who won the Godlike Genius award, will headline the Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig at London's O2 Arena tonight (Thursday). Franz Ferdinand, Crystal Castles and White Lies will also play.
