Pilot Speed's third album, Wooden Bones, will be released on April 28 through MapleMusic.
The follow-up to 2006's Sell Control For The Life's Speed (which was retitled Into The West when it came out in the U.S. later that year) was recorded in Toronto and New York with Kevin Killen (Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello).
You can hear lead single "Put The Phone Down" in a behind-the-scenes video of a recent photo shoot here and on the band's MySpace page. The video for the track should begin circulating in March.
Pilot Speed were originally known as Pilate when they formed in 1999. Their 2003 Caught By The Window debut gained mainstream attention, but they renamed themselves in 2006 just after appearing on the cover of the May 2006 issue of Chart. Their lineup includes singer/guitarist Todd Clark, guitarist Chris Greenough, bassist Ruby Bumrah and drummer Bill Keeley.
Here are the songs on Wooden Bones:
"Put The Phone Down"
"Light You Up"
"Bluff"
"Ain't No Life"
"Up On The Bridge"
"Where Does It Begin?"
"What Is Real, What Is Doubt"
"Today I Feel Sure"
"Midnight Fires"
"Wooden Bones"
"Open Arms"
