Faith No More have reunited and will tour this summer, but you'll only get to see them if you're in Europe.
Frontman Mike Patton's publicist says the band will reform for a series of European tour and festival dates, but have no plans to tour North America. Guitarist Jim Martin, who left the group in 1993, won't be included in the reunion, which will see Faith No More's final lineup of Patton, guitarist Jon Hudson, bassist Billy Gould, keyboardist Roddy Bottum and drummer Mike Bordin playing together for the first time since 1998.
Faith No More formed in 1982 and released six albums before they split up in 1998. Their best known songs included "We Care A Lot," "Epic" and "Midlife Crisis."
Following Faith No More's break-up, Patton formed Ipecac Recordings, began playing with pre-Faith No More band Mr. Bungle and formed Tomahawk and the Fantomas. He's also released truly bizarre solo material and collaborated with The Dillinger Escape Plan, John Zorn, The X-Ecutioners and others.
Patton and beatboxer Rahzel have plans to release an as-yet-untitled album sometime this year, and Patton recently completed the film score for Crank 2: High Voltage, which will hit theatres on April 17. He'll play the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival with Rahzel in Indio, Calif. on the same day.
