Hundreds And Thousands Offer Two Singles

The Hundreds And Thousands

The Hundreds And Thousands have released two singles, "Don't Talk To Me" and "Rat Race," that are now available through iTunes and Amazon.

You can preview both tracks on the band's MySpace page. They'll appear on the band's self-titled debut album that will be released on May 26 through Nettwerk. "Rat Race" previously appeared on a self-titled EP the band released in 2007.

Singer/guitarist Ian LeFeuvre, bassist Maury Lafoy and drummer Peter Von Althen used to be known as Starling before renaming their band. Their Sustainer debut came out in 1999 and was followed by 2002's Stuff You Should Have Said Before.

Much of the new album was recorded live in a few short sessions, and LeFeuvre wrote in a recent MySpace blog entry that the songs are "a bit more paired down, raw and jagged, with a little more emphasis on the drums & bass."

LeFeuvre is The Hundreds And Thousands' chief songwriter and producer. He was assisted in the studio by mixer Eric Ratz (Billy Talent, Big Sugar).

The Hundreds And Thousands play Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern on March 14 at 8:30 p.m. as part of the annual CHARTattack/Horseshoe/Canadian Music Week showcase.
