Silversun Pickups' sophomore effort, Swoon, will be released by Dangerbird Records on April 14.
"Panic Switch" and "Nice To Know You Work Alone" will get advance exposure when they're featured in a track pack along with "Well Thought Out Twinkles" from Silversun Pickups' Carnavas debut for the Guitar Hero World Tour game earlier in April.
Silversun Pickups worked with producer Dave Cooley (J Dilla, Rolling Blackouts) and mixer Tony Hoffer (Beck, The Kooks) on Swoon, just as they did with Carnavas. Singer/guitarist Brian Aubert says the album "sounds like a nervous breakdown."
Gibson/Epiphone will create limited-edition guitars with custom Silversun Pickups artwork that will be displayed at indie retailers across the U.S. to coincide with Record Store Day on April 18. Fans can enter to win one of the instruments on the Record Store Day website beginning April 1.
Aubert, bassist Nikki Monninger, drummer Christopher Guanlao and keyboardist Joe Lester have these shows scheduled:
March 17 Kansas City, MO @ Kansas City Power & Light District
March 21 Austin, TX @ Antone's w/Cage The Elephant, The Happy Hollows, The Duke Spirit and Afternoons (SXSW)
April 18 Indio, CA @ Empire Polo Fields (Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival)
May 25 George, WA @ The Gorge Amphitheater (Sasquatch! Music Festival)
Here are the songs to make you Swoon:
"There's No Secrets This Year"
