Mike Skinner Gets His Rave On

Mike Skinner, who once described himself as the only white rapper who drinks tea, is probably one of the last guys you'd expect to dabble in rave music. Tea isn't what you'd typically drink while getting yer freak on to thunderous drum 'n' bass in a warehouse. But Skinner says the next Streets album will be very "ravey" indeed.
Skinner has been working on the album, which he claims will be his last, while buck naked at home on his sofa. Skinner previously said the record would sound like Berlin — the German city, not Lou Reed's 1973 album.
"It now sounds ravey," he wrote in a MySpace blog entry on Thursday. "It is a ravey album that bludgeons you over the head with its stick of 1988 Romford, Blackpool and Philadelphia rock. It's an insane album."
You can see The Streets on June 23 at London, England's Brixton Academy and at the Wireless Festival in London on July 4.
