Bedouin Soundclash will release a mash-up album with
Bad Brains this spring.
A Feb. 10 message on Bedouin Soundclash's
website said the band recently recorded the disc with Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer in Woodstock, N.Y. It's now in its final mixing stages.
"This project has been a long time coming and we can't wait for everyone to hear it," the band wrote.
Singer/guitarist Jay Malinowski and bassist Eon Sinclair have also been working on the follow-up to 2007's
Street Gospels, which will be their first disc without drummer Pat Pengelly, who
left the band earlier this year.
Malinowski has also been busy on a solo project that he's working on with Chris Gonzalez, bassist for Philadelphia punk band The Loved Ones. Malinowski has posted five songs on his
MySpace page and plans to record a solo album sometime this spring.
Malinowski and Sinclair will be featured on
ET Canada's countdown of Canada's top 25 single people at 7 p.m. EST on Wednseday on the Global television network.
Bedouin Soundclash will head to Australia and New Zealand later this month and will play the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas in March. You can see them here:
