Woodhands Rock Down To Electric Avenue

It would have been more exciting if Woodhands had followed in The Clash's footsteps with The Equals' "Police On My Back," but at least they're not "Romancing The Stone."

But if you're going to cover Eddy Grant, your safest bet is probably "Electric Avenue." That's what the Toronto electro-dance duo have done here. I'll still take the original, thanks.

Singer/synth player/drum machine operator Dan Werb and drummer Paul Banwatt will issue their Dancer EP on March 3 through Paper Bag Digital. It includes seven remixes of the track from last year's Heart Attack by the likes of labelmate CFCF, Philadelphia MC Reeseman Kackalak, Bit Funk, Soundsmith and DJ Rexford.
