M.I.A.'s Contractions At Grammys

M.I.A. felt contractions before she performed at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, according to a television executive connected to the show.
"She went into contractions when the show went on the air — and she was not supposed to go on until act eight," Jack Sussman told World Entertainment News Network.
"I asked her to just hang on until 10 p.m. ET. The kid's a gamer."
M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" was nominated for a record of the year Grammy,
but lost to Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' "Please Read The Letter."
The singer is also nominated for a best original song Academy Award for "O Saya" from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack.
Despite apparently being in "contractions" during the Grammys, M.I.A. (real name Mathangi Arulpragasam) still hasn't had her baby even though it was due on Sunday around the time of this performance of T.I. and Jay-Z's "Swagga Like Us" with Lil Wayne and Kanye West:
