New Fucked Up Singles Coming

Fucked Up will release their long-awaited "Year Of The Rat" single on March 24.

It's kind of appropriate that the single will come out on 12-inch vinyl, since the song is 12 minutes long. Fucked Up recorded the track in London, England between tours and finished mixing it two days before drummer Jonah "Mr. Jo" Falco talked to Chart for its November 2008 cover story.

"It was really easy and it was, like, compared to every other long recording session it was sort of like, 'OK, here's the tape, let's do this and we're gonna make it 18 minutes long, let's make it longer,' and you end up staying up for two days at a time," Falco said of the recording process. "This was like, honestly, it was like going to work.

"We showed up at like, 10:30 in the morning and went home at 1:30 in the morning, did that for two days and then said, 'See ya later,' and then came back [to Canada]."

Fucked Up will issue "No Epiphany," the third single from last year's Juno Award-nominated The Chemistry Of Common Life, on March 10.
