If you thought Robbie Williams' alien obsession was finished, think again.
The singer just bought a mansion worth about seven million pounds ($12.4 million Canadian) in a British "UFO hotspot."
Williams' new 71-acre home in Compton Bassett is smack in the middle of "mystical energy routes believed to attract UFOs" and is located near a crop circle investigation centre,
according to Britain's The Sun tabloid. A flying saucer study group is apparently nearby as well. Residents of the area reported 45 UFO sightings last year and the town will host a sky-watch this summer.
"Wiltshire has a really rich history of fortean things — unexplained phenomena," Chris Williams, an organizer for local UFO group SUFOR (which Williams has been invited to join), told The Sun.
"We have a lot more UFO sightings than most and we've got the famous stone circles at Stonehenge and Avebury and the ancient mystical sites like Silbury Hill. I'm sure Robbie would find our meetings fascinating."
Williams apparently explored the area on Tuesday afternoon on a road bike he bought for about 5,500 pounds.
Williams' girlfriend, actress Ayda Field, apparently doesn't want to leave Los Angeles and its television and film opportunities, and won't move to the U.K. to be with him.
"She isn't going to dump all that hard work for Robbie," a source told The Sun.
"She simply isn't going to go, so either he stays or they split. She has worked long and hard and she isn't giving it up for him. Ayda is ruthless about work."
