We've been telling you about this aces War Child Heroes compilation that's out on March 3 for a while. Now we're going to get all next level about it and present you with the exclusive first listen to Rufus Wainwright's cover of Brian Wilson's "Wonderful/Song For Children" medley.
"Wonderful" and "Song For Children" were originally recorded in 1967 for The Beach Boys' infamous Smile album, and were apparently amongst the songs Wilson recorded on a piano in a giant sandbox. If Wainwright had to roll around in the muck to recapture the mood of this song... well... good for him.
