Acorn frontman Rolf Klausener thought enough of West's support that he extended this invitation to him in a comment on the rapper's blog entry:
"Come over for a barbeque next time you're in Ottawa. We can drink some cheap beer and play with the neighbourhood cats."
We're not sure if there's a big crossover between West and Acorn fans, but the endorsement can't hurt.
Then again, probably less than five per cent of the people who will attend The Acorn's European shows opening for Fleet Foxes and Elbow will be there to see the band named after a thing that squirrels store for the winter. Those who are dedicated enough to The Acorn would see them whether West recommended them or not.

I've never bothered to register for this site but to comment in this one case makes it worth it. No wonder its only staff members commenting on this blog (which is pretty pathetic), the ‘welcoming committee’ here is unbearable

Completely unnecessary and irrelevant to the story to call Kanye narcissistic. He's doing a good thing by giving publicity to a great band.
The fact that this is even a big deal and a story for you is kind of feeding into his ego, no?
