Bedouin Soundclash will be joined by a new drummer and saxophone and trumpet players when they appear at the Hillside Inside Festival in Guelph, Ont. on Feb. 7.
Pocket Dwellers drummer Marco Raposo and saxophonist Dennis Passley, along with trumpeter Danny Depoe, will join the band for the gig. It's not clear whether the three musicians will join singer/guitarist Jay Malinowski and bassist Eon Sinclair at shows in Australia and New Zealand later that month.
Bedouin Soundclash
parted ways with founding drummer Pat Pengelly earlier this month. Pengelly is touring with Alexisonfire guitarist Wade McNeil's Black Lungs side project.
Bedouin Soundclash will share a slot
opening for No Doubt on the California pop band's tour this summer, but no dates have been announced.
Malinowski has a few solo gigs planned before Bedouin Soundclash head to Australia. He'll play the Grad Club in Kingston, Ont. on Feb. 4 and perform a solo set at Hillside Inside before Bedouin Soundclash hit the festival's main stage.
