Slipknot Coming To Canada

CHARTattack has learned that the masked ghouls in Slipknot will be coming to Canada this spring for a tour that reps from their label Roadrunner Records say will have "several stops" and "this will be a big tour for sure."

The band who hate Coldplay are expected to announce their itinerary soon. The tour is likely to happen in April once the band finish their U.S. dates. There's no word on whether or not the opening acts for the American tour — Trivium and Coheed And Cambria — will be part of the Canadian invasion as well.

Slipknot last appeared around these parts as part of the Rockstar Mayhem tour that hit Toronto last August.

That, however, isn't as bad as what happened to 29-year-old Cory Nickels at Slipknot's show in the band's home state of Iowa on Sunday. Nickels suffered a heart attack and was driven to the nearest hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
