Hear Bon Iver's Feist Cover

Bon Iver

Bon Iver covered Feist's "The Park" during a recent live session for Australian radio station Triple J.

The man born Justin Vernon appeared on the station's Live On The Wireless show on Friday to discuss recording his For Emma, Forever Ago debut album. He performed For Emma's "Creature Fear," which he followed with "The Park" from Feist's The Reminder.

"It hit me as the first record I heard when I came out of the woods [where he recorded For Emma, Forever Ago] or whatever, and it was just so good and so normal... to hear something that was so well-produced and professional and lasting and honest, and it's still on all the time at my house," Vernon said about "The Park" before performing it.

You can hear the radio session here.

Both Bon Iver and Feist appear on the upcoming Dark Was The Night AIDS benefit compilation. You can hear Bon Iver's "Bracket, WI" on the Dark Was The Night website. Vernon also appears with The National's Aaron Dessner on the album.

Feist also appears twice on the double album — with Grizzly Bear on "Service Bell," and with Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard on a cover of Vashti Bunyan's "Train Song."
