Fall In Love At Starbucks

Starbucks' share price has dropped by more than 50 per cent over the past year, and the chain is closing stores and cutting costs. But there's something music fans with a fondness for overpriced coffee can do to help the over-expanded merchant.

Starbucks stores will start selling a compilation of cover songs featuring the likes of Death Cab For Cutie, Katy Perry, A.C. Newman, Richard Hawley and She & Him on Jan. 30.

That gives you two weeks before Valentine's Day to purchase Sweetheart: Our Favorite Artists Sing Their Favorite Love Songs as a gift for someone you have the hots for. It's either that or a caramel macchiato with a heart drizzled on top in caramel syrup, and the CD will probably last longer. It also won't contribute to tooth and gum decay. Unless you eat it.

I hope all you trendy coffee drinkers can stomach that I have an extra-large Tim Hortons double-double sitting beside me as I type the track list for Sweetheart: Our Favorite Artists Sing Their Favorite Love Songs, but here are the artists and songs (with the original artist in parentheses) on the album:
