Thom Yorke Biography On The Way

An unofficial and unauthorized biography of Radiohead singer Thom Yorke will be available in the U.K. on Feb. 26.
The 208-page Thom Yorke: Radiohead & Trading Solo will be published by Britain's Independent Music Press, which has issued biographies of Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Bernard Sumner, MC5, Slash, Bruce Dickinson, System Of A Down, Johnny Marr, The Killers, The Streets, John Lydon, Muse, Foo Fighters, Stereophonics, David Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson, Beastie Boys, Oasis, The Prodigy, Shaun Ryder and others.
The Yorke biography includes interviews with his former classmates, producers, video makers and others in his life, but not Yorke. Still, the publisher promises "a fascinating portrait of a band and a man who would never settle for second best."
Maybe Yorke will like it, or maybe he'll denounce it like Matt Good did with the recently published, and unauthorized, Ghosts In The Machine: A Biography Of Matthew Good.
Thom Yorke: Radiohead & Trading Solo was written by London, England freelance journalist Trevor Baker, who has previously penned the biographies of Richard Ashcroft, Kylie Minogue, Elvis Presley, Jennifer Lopez and deceased crocodile hunter Steve Irwin.
But as far as I'm concerned, Baker's crowning literary achievement remains Psycho Pets: Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Home. A used copy of the 144-page book is available for one pence (two cents Canadian) from Amazon's U.K. website.
The book's classic status is cemented by the inclusion of captions written by Zodiac Mindwarp & The Love Reaction frontman Mark Manning, who's also authored 2000's Get Your Cock Out and 2001's Fucked By Rock.
