Hard-partying Toronto/Montreal electro-dance duo Thunderheist will release their self-titled full-length debut on March 31 via Big Dada Recordings.
Producer Graham Zilla and rapper/vocalist Isis toured steadily throughout North America and Europe for more than two years before they hunkered down in the studio for much of 2008. Like Thunderheist's sometimes chaotic performances, the album will blend hip-hop, electro, disco, pop and R&B styles.
The single/video "Jerk It" was well-received when released late last year, and it got a further push when the song was used in the critically acclaimed film, The Wrestler. "Sweet 16" will be issued as a vinyl and digital single on Jan. 27, and will be accompanied by a video.
You can listen to "Sweet 16," "Jerk It" and a demo mix of the album's "LBG (Little Booty Girl)" on Thunderheist's MySpace page.
