Hot Hot Heat have been tapped to open five of Bloc Party's western Canadian dates in late April and early May.
There's a good chance you may be able to hear new material from singer/keyboardist Steve Bays, guitarist Luke Paquin, bassist Dustin Hawthorne and drummer Paul Hawley at these gigs. The band spent last year working on the follow-up to 2007's Happiness Ltd., which they hope to release sometime this year.
You can see Hot Hot Heat open for Bloc Party here:
April 26 Vancouver, BC @ Commodore Ballroom
April 29 Edmonton, AB @ Shaw Conference Centre
April 30 Calgary, AB @ Big Four Building
May 2 Saskatoon, SK @ Odeon Events Centre
May 3 Winnipeg, MB @ Burton Cummings Theatre
