Guns N' Roses' "Better" video was supposed to have been on your television and computer screens about a month ago, but it's still nowhere to be found.
That may seem like quite a delay, but it's a drop in the bucket for a band that took 15 years to release Chinese Democracy, the album that contains "Better." Axl Rose has never been known for promptness, so it's very likely that his meticulous editing or something else to do with him are responsible for the hold-up.
But GNR associate Fernando Lebeis blamed Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich for the delay in a Dec. 29 MyGNRForum.com post, which has since been removed.
"Tell Lars to OK the vid and it's done," Lebeis wrote. "That's all that is pending. We are pending his release form to be signed."
Ulrich is out to set things straight and let people know it isn't his fault that you haven't yet seen GNR's first video since actor Gary Oldman appeared in 1994's "Since I Don't Have You."
"There was a couple of clips of me in the video and they asked if I would sign off on it," Ulrich said in a radio interview on Milwaukee's 102.9 The Hog radio station. "When it got to me, I signed off on the one clip.
"I don't know where [the rumor] came from. I'd love to be in a Guns N' Roses video. It's my favourite song on the record. I think it's a great song.
"I can't wait for the video to come out. There's a shot of me and Axl embracing backstage at some concert, and I signed off that, and hopefully it'll make it in the final cut."
