The Trews, still basking in the glory of their recent best hard rock/metal song win for "Hold Me In Your Arms" at the Independent Music Awards, will play a number of acoustic and full-on rock shows in the coming weeks.
The Trews' third full-length, No Time For Later, was released 11 months ago, but the band will record their Jan. 30 show at Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio for an acoustic album.
"The set list will combine old favorites, unreleased b-sides and album tracks that we don't play at the electric shows," wrote lead singer, guitarist and keyboardist Colin MacDonald in a recent MySpace blog entry. "We're currently writing some new material so we might even include a couple of brand spanking new tunes to showcase."
You can see The Trews here:
Jan. 27 Hamilton, ON @ The Casbah (acoustic)
Jan. 28 Peterborough, ON @ The Montreal House (acoustic)
Jan. 30-31 Toronto, ON @ Glenn Gould Studio (acoustic and all ages)
Feb. 6-7 London, ON @ Norma Jean's
Feb. 12 Detroit, MI @ The Magic Bag
Feb. 13 Buffalo, NY @ The Town Ballroom
Feb. 21 Kingston, ON @ AJ's Alehouse w/The Spades
