Arkells And Waking Eyes Head West

Arkells and Chart magazine October 2008 cover stars The Waking Eyes have added western Canadian dates to their upcoming tour, which will now run through the beginning of March.

The Waking Eyes are touring behind last year's Holding On To Whatever It Is, while Arkells are supporting Jackson Square, which also came out last year. Arkells will head south to Austin, Texas after their Canadian dates for the South By Southwest Music Festival, which runs from March 18 to 22.

The Waking Eyes will play pre-tour shows at New York City's Arlene's Grocery on Jan. 21 and 22.

Arkells will open for Matt Mays & El Torpedo at the Rustler's Cabaret in Truro, N.S. on Jan. 22 and at Halifax's Marquee Club the next two nights.
