Neil Young has been touring as hard as a man half his age while releasing vintage material and assembling the long-awaited The Archives Vol. 1 1963-1972 box set, but the 63-year-old has also been working on a new album called Fork In The Road that should be released in the spring.
Young performed a number of songs expected to be included on Fork In The Road during his recently completed North American tour, including "Cough Up The Bucks," "Fuel Line," "Hit The Road" and "Get Around."
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer has posted a video for Fork In The Road's title track on his website, and you can also see it below.
Archives Vol. 1 was reportedly going to finally arrive in February, but it's likely that will now be pushed back again so Fork In The Road will have its own time in the spotlight. It was also speculated that an unreleased album called Toast that Young recorded with Crazy Horse might also see the light of day while snow was still falling in 2009, but that will probably be delayed now, too.
Young's touring continues with these dates:
Jan. 16 Auckland, New Zealand @ Mt. Smart Stadium (Big Day Out Festival)
Jan. 18 Gold Coast, Australia @ Parklands (Big Day Out Festival)
Jan. 21 Brisbane, Australia @ Brisbane Entertainment Centre
Jan. 23 Sydney, Australia @ Olympic Park Showgrounds (Big Day Out Festival)
Jan. 24 Sydney, Australia @ Sydney Entertainment Centre
Jan. 26 Melbourne, Australia @ Flemington Racecourse (Big Day Out Festival)
Jan. 28 Melbourne, Australia @ Sydney Myer Music Bowl
Jan. 30 Adelaide, Australia @ RA&HS Showgrounds (Big Day Out Festival)
Feb. 1 Perth, Australia @ Claremont Showgrounds (Big Day Out Festival)
