Show The Pretenders Your Boots

The Pretenders want their fans to sing along with their "Boots Of Chinese Plastic" single for a good cause.
Singer/guitarist Chrissie Hynde, guitarists James Walbourne and Eric Heywood, bassist Nick Wilkinson and drummer Martin Chambers have launched a video contest in conjunction with PETA and YouTube. They want fans to film themselves lip-synching to "Boots Of Chinese Plastic" and show their own plastic boots sometime in the video.
"This is a fun away to raise awareness for a very serious cause," Hynde says. "We are looking forward to seeing our fans and animal loving friends perform 'Boots Of Chinese Plastic' via YouTube."
This isn't a contest to make the official video for "Boots Of Chinese Plastic," which has already been made and can be seen below.
To enter, all you need to do is upload a video to YouTube of yourself lip-synching to the tune and tag it "bootsaudition." The clips will be judged by The Pretenders, and the winner will receive a trip for two to Los Angeles to lip-synch in the official fan video, which will premiere on The Pretenders, PETA, YouTube and Apple Quicktime websites. More information about the contest is available on The Pretenders' official website.
